Dear readers,
This is a mostly critical, often historical and always fun account about wacky technologies.
I live in Berlin, looking east and west. And I wonder about Silicon Valley’s geek culture on the one side as well as the restoration of the Soviet Union 2.0 on the other. My panorama stretches from the Valley to Vladivostok. And Hawaii with its NSA spooks will surely get its own column.
I will mostly focus on wacky tech that is invented to transform the future of human relationships but hopefully never makes it into our every day lives or even history books.
I lived my life at both sides of the Berlin wall. And I deeply believe that the world is better off without walls – whether they are made of stone, software or hardware.
Let’s think about wacky tech and let’s have fun!
Best, Sebastian Wa(a)ck
